Tim and Cathleen were called to Guatemala in May 2018 after having participated in several short-term mission trips through their church: First Baptist, Park Street in Charlottesville, VA.
Since their time in Guatemala, they have established Mercy Ministerio, along with Esau de la Cruz.
Tim and Cathleen are blessed to have four daughters, Lauren, Katelyn, Anna, and Emma. Lauren currently works for Liberty University and Katelyn is a student at Liberty University. While the younger two, Anna and Emma serve alongside their parents.
Mercy Ministerio was established to take the Gospel to the lose around Cuilapa, Guatemala. We do this in many ways. We have weekly services with the youth, where we sing praises to Jesus and open the Bible to learn more about God's word and His will for our life. We also, share the Gospel weekly on Friday evenings in the Central Park of Cuilapa. Besides services and evangelism, Cathleen teaches ESL and Tim provides discipleship classes to new believers. Each month, we have mission days, where we serve alongside the youth helping those who have a need. We do this through visiting other villages, helping the poor and widows, going into hospitals to help those who are sick, and visiting prisoners in prison.
We welcome church groups, schools and universities, and individuals who want to experience short-term missions in Guatemala. We would also love to have a team lead a medical mission's trip. Please email us to find out more information about these different opportunities as well as what the starting cost is to serve alongside us.
We would ask for you to pray for us, encourage us through email and support us financially.
